These terms apply when you use the Nephoscope app, its alerts and this website. By using Nephoscope you agree to them.

Safety comes first

Nephoscope shows lightning data from third-party and government sources and sends alerts on a best-effort basis. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and alerts can arrive late or not at all. Nephoscope does not replace official weather warnings, trained judgment or local safety rules. If you hear thunder, you're close enough to be struck, so go indoors. Don't wait for an alert.

Text message alerts

Text alerts are optional and covered by our SMS Terms. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your use

• Use Nephoscope lawfully. Don't abuse, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Only enter a phone number you own or are authorized to use.
• Some features may require an in-app purchase, which is billed through Apple under Apple's terms.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Nephoscope is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nephoscope is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss that comes from relying on the app's data or alerts.

Changes

We may update the app or these terms. If you keep using Nephoscope after a change, you accept the updated terms.
